LebensKunst. 800 Jahre Franz von Assisi
Sonntag, 24. 5. 2026 bis Montag, 2. 11. 2026 | Nordoratorium (Dom Quartier Salzburg)
"To mark the 800th anniversary of the death of Francis of Assisi, the Cathedral Museum, in cooperation with the Franciscan Study Center in Münster, is planning an exhibition that will shed light on his life as well as his lasting legacy. Starting from the key stages and themes of Francis’s life, the exhibition explores how his legacy - including his relationship with God, his proclamation of the faith, his commitment to the poor and sick and to peace, as well as his connection to creation - has been lived out and interpreted over the centuries. The figure of the order’s founder and Franciscan life in his footsteps will be brought to life through testimonies from all art forms, literature, and everyday objects spanning from the Middle Ages to the present day."
